Skyline Tavern Portland, OR
The Skyline Tavern is a quaint bar in the woods with a fantastic view of a place you'd never want to see up close: namely, Beaverton. The SLT has horseshoe pits, ping pong, darts, pool, a big ass barbeque area and is a place for cyclists and bikers to compare the relative tightness of their clothing while cruising up Skyline. You can smoke everywhere in the Skyline Tavern, but it wasn't the cramped smokiness that you would expect. On sunny days, this is a must visit bar.

Billy Ray's Neighborhood Dive Portland, OR
This bar is a great place to go in the summertime due to the large back patio area with umbrellaed tables, a ping pong table and a barbeque. The interior of the bar is narrow and full of tattooed hipsters.

Black Cat Pub, The Portland, OR
The Black Cat Pub is delightfully run down. The wait staff is predictably surly, but in a way that is endearing. There are three shuffleboard tables (pro tip: use the one in the middle because it has the smoothest surface) multiple arcade style games, televisions, two pool tables, and a ping pong table in the back yard. There are even sexual novelties sold in the men's room. Want more than that? You're wanting too much, friend.

Mississippi Pizza Pub Portland, OR
This place provided the pizza for the Super Leisure Olympics this year. It was pretty good pizza, and they delivered! Since when do pizza restaurants deliver? I think this may be the start of a trend.

Trap, The Portland, OR
Four fabulous dart boards await you in the Trap tavern. The interior is smoky, like a DuPont factory and two hours in the Trap will have you sporting coal-miner's black lungs. Despite this drawback, the Trap is a delightfully divey place to play darts. They even have a happy hour that begins at 10:00 AM for you hard core alcoholics.

Sam's Hollywood Billiards Portland, OR
Sam's is the place to be. The entire top floor (opened in December 2006) is non smoking. The food is great, and the atmosphere is cool. The pool tables have the look of a 50's cadillac.

McMenamins Tavern and Pool Portland, OR
McMenamins only serves RC cola and Diet Rite cola. This is intolerable. Other than that, the bar is nice.

Try the flaming balls if you are in the market for intense intestinal distress, horrid gas, abdominal cramps, and general malaise. Fun pirate atmosphere without parrots pooping on you. Reasonable prices.
