I've been to Mamma Mia several times for happy hour and have enjoyed the experience every time. The food is filling and satisfying, if not adventurous and the drinks have always been well prepared. My only complaint is the cramped bar quarters. They should put the bar against the wall to expand the space.
10-Feb-08Yesterday I went for happy hour at Mama Mia and had a pleasant experience. The bartender made several nice drinks for me and a friend and we ordered from the happy hour menu. Everything on the menu was 3 dollars each. A good variety and came out fresh and hot! After starting with a Caesars salad we ordered ITALIAN! The lasagna was excellent and my friend ordered the manicotti, again very good. I did notice the bar area was small but quaint. I also noticed that the restaurant area was totally full and this was a Wednesday!! Something special at Mama Mia and I think it’s the food and drinks. Since we were seated at the bar, I am not sure of the table service. I must say however our food orders came up quick, hot and fresh and again, the bartender knows his stuff!
Four thumbs up, I hope you’ll agree. Steve
We went on a Sunday. The bar area is cosy, if a little small. Service was slow but friendly. There are about nine menu items to choose from (see website for full menu). We ordered the caesar salad, calamari, meatballs, and pasta pomodoro. The food arrived very quickly. Frankly I wished they had taken a little more time. The salad was decent, but the rest of the meal was barely edible. Bottom line: cheap, and it shows. Beware also, there is a one drink minimum per person.
