06-Nov-09This brew pub in a little out of the way but definitely worth it. Thursdays there are $2 pints from 7-9 along with the regular happy hours. It does have a little bit of a family feel but I will take that over hipsters any day. Food is always good and happy hour deals are great.
19-May-09With the addition of a pretty good IPA (Grifter), MacTarnahan's Tap Room is pretty good now. The food menu is cheap and good for the money (the chicken tacos I had were good and a rather large portion). The TVs are top notch HD and were great for watching a basketball game while seated at the bar.
It's in an odd location, but there is a bus or two that stops right next to it.
06-Jun-07The Pyramid buyout ruined the Portland Brewing Company. Food was okay, beer is L-A-M-E (by Portland standards).
24-Oct-06I was a little disappointed with the PBC. It has a sort of family restaurant chain feel that I thought I had left behind when I moved to Portland. If you're looking for a decent beer, stick with the Lucky Lab.
