Amnesia crafts some of the best beer in Portland, which puts them in the running for best beer anywhere. I recently stopped by for some of their seasonal summer ale and was so pleased with it that I ended up taking some to go. Amenesia, unlike other brewers, provides their take-out beer in resealable mason jars. The food at Amnesia includes simple items such as sausages and veggie burgers that they prepare on their outdoor grill. Their happy hour offers an excellent value at $3 for a 20 ounce pint.

Their beers are pretty good. They claim to have the two best IPAs around -- I think that is a bit of a stretch. The ESB is my favorite. Nice people and outdoor seating (covered and heated). The menu is a bit limited, with just sausages and burgers (veggie options are veggie sausages and garden burgers). But, if you like sausages they do have some good ones. Sometimes they have live music too.
