I live near both Laurelwoods in the Hollywood district (Pizza and Brewpub) and I don't think their food is that great. That said, since it's a short walk from home, we often go during happy hour for a slightly cheaper beer. I highly recommend the happy hour strombolis on the menu - those are delicious. Rest of the food? eh.
05-Feb-09I've never been to this place before but was unimpressed. I felt like the point of this happy hour was to pay more for less food. There was barely any food at all. I had to get a second meal to fill myself up. I ended up spending $17 when I normally spend $10. Boo on this place. I also didn't like the beers I had either.
26-Oct-07Last time I visited, the food had gone downhill, but judging from the clientel, this neighborhood brewpub is still a haven for parents of very young children.
If you fall into that category, chances are you will find this venue a delightful escape, where parents drown their sorrows in a pitcher, and the sproggen run free and unsupervised.
Not recommended for those who are child free, or wanting a good meal in a atmosphere under 100 decibels.
