18-Apr-10Been goin there since 2006 early when it truly only drew bikers. I've brought dozens of people there who otherwise would never have walked in there and talk friends out of the arena district. You'd think after all that you'd be treated as a regular but as a friend said to me recently--that just isn't the case. There are two bartenders who are nice, the others act like they got a stick up their ass and act like it's a high school popularity contest when it comes to getting drinks. It's wrong to treat your customers any way but good and a lot of the employees here act aloof. Especially the bar back, not morgan but the tall one. People constantly ask "what's that guys deal" and he is aparently just allowed to act like a jerk and snarl at patrons. I told him one night that he needed to be nicer to customers and i was thrown out and told not to "start shit" the next time I came in while one female and one male bartender wouldn't give me drinks. The same bartenders who took max tips from me (and they knew who i was) when I walked out without my credit card many nights in the past. If I wanted to be treated like garbage and deal with jerks I'd go to average joes. I'm about done and it's sad. Kickstand has gone downhill. When lindsey, the bar back who looks like a bum and the little winer bartender stop being employed there I'll be back

02-Jan-10lol, these 2 reviews made me want to check it out, I did on NYE and wasn't sorry, I had a great time, seemed like a fun crowd, comfortably populated, they do allow you to bring food in from the pizza joint next door, so my only disappointment was I wasn't able to locate the popcorn machine. Other than that, good times, my favorite local hangout I've visited in Columbus thus far.

18-Sep-09I would like to echo the other post of April 2009. There was an issue that I took up with the staff and management about one of their promotions. During this conversation, they referred to their customers as "absurd" and "ridiculously ignorant people". You can see it for yourself on their Facebook page. I will not go to Kickstand Pub again.

22-Apr-09This bar is full of staff drama. I have never been to a bar before where the bartenders act like everything is about them and not the customers. The guy bartenders act like they needed a law degree to work there. They make you pay a cover at Polaris???
If they have drink specials ... you don't know about them and they have no food service..Wait...there is a popcorn machine in the corner. This bar is a total mess... if you like drama and the rough around the edges type then check it out?
