21-Jan-10the happy hour is good. to get the happy hour I had to sit at the bar. Good food! Good place! Good service!
13-Oct-09Biwa is a gem and their happy hour just gilds the lily. And take note: they offer happy hour at the bar all night long. Certainly go for the heaping portion of kimchi chijimi, Korean griddle cakes with kimchi, octopus and dipping sauce. Or try the onigiri, a perfectly warm, snappy, soft and sour snack. Biwa crafts all their soups with a homemade, and deft, hand. In fact, there is little on the menu that didn't leave me with an incredibly satisfied, perfectly comforted belly.
27-Mar-08they changed their policy--happy hour is all day and has the 3$ Sapporos and other tasty treats for those who sit at the bar only. If you want ramen or udon for 5$ that starts after 9 and goes till close(11 I think).
03-Nov-07Biwa may be my new favorite place. It's situated in a somewhat obscure and subterranean location, but don't let that deter you from checking it out. The food items include a variety of grilled meat kabobs and a noodle based soups. They also have a decent sake selection. The happy hour at Biwa is a great deal with appetizers for $2 and large Sapporo for $3.
