I've been coming here since the place opened, and I love it. The food menu doesn't change often, but what they do have is good home cooked simple food. Kevin & Becky have done a wonderful job here creating a warm inviting environment. The menu and the tap selection recently changed, sadly I've lost my favorite dish, but I'm sure I'll find a new favorite.

Regardless of the quality of the building (which is lovely) I can't really recommend much about Caldera.

As someone who lives in the area (~47th & Stark) I wanted to like this place. The building is historic and well done, the owner is known to other local business owners; there's a lot to want to like.

However, the food (on both occasions I've been) is some of the worst in PDX. Just not good. Shrimp undercooked, rice-a-roni style rice, and service which leaves a lot to be desired.

I hope the place improves because I love the idea of a local neighborhood restaurant in my part of SE.

I really like this place. They don't have that much on tap but I like the set-up and the service was good.
